For the fifteenth year, the "Friends of the Sea" project presents its captivating exhibition, traveling across town squares and waterfronts along the Croatian Adriatic. During the summer of 2025, this outdoor exhibition will be displayed in ten destinations across Istria and the Northern Adriatic, attracting a large number of visitors.
About the "Friends of the Sea" Project
Founded in 2009 by Livingstone Association and Astoria, Friends of the Sea is a national cultural and tourism campaign. Through large-format open-air photography exhibitions during the summer months, the project aims to highlight the role of photography in media culture, social responsibility, and the ongoing importance of promoting ecology and preserving the Adriatic Sea.
2025 Exhibition – "Friends of the Sea"
This year's edition explores life at sea, presenting visual interpretations through the photographers' unique perspectives, capturing the interplay of light and shadow.
The goal is to offer both local and international visitors an insight into the power of photography as a medium, using light and shadow to tell stories of life on the sea. The featured photographers, selected by the expert team of the Rovinj Photodays festival, include:
