This is a folk-scene performance that has been held for over 200 years, on the first Sunday in May, it symbolizes the greeting to spring.

Don’t be surprised when you see a boat in the middle of the square, this is the boat from the prettiest girl in Nerezine who is chosen by the young men from Nerezine, and flowers on the square comes from the gardens of single girls and the doors represent the entrance to this unique “garden”.
