Guidelines for responsible behaviour at the destination

BE A RESPONSIBLE GUEST OF THE LOŠINJ ARCHIPELAGO!

Please follow these guidelines so that we can protect the natural resources, support the local community and preserve the uniqueness of the Lošinj archipelago through joint efforts.

1) RESPECT THE NATURE

Conserve the flora and fauna: Do not disturb the wildlife or destroy the plants. Stay on the designated trails and do not take souvenirs from nature. The Lošinj archipelago is home to more than 200 resident dolphins. The Blue World Institute conducts research and works to preserve the marine environment by educating and raising awareness. It also carries out various sea and coast cleanup projects.
Prevent pollution: Do not litter in nature. Dispose of rubbish in the first available waste bin. Sort your waste in the designated recycling bins.
Conserve water and power: Water is precious, especially on islands. Use water and power responsibly by turning off lights and devices when not using them.
P.S. We are truly lucky to have potable water on our archipelago! Feel free to drink tap water, as it is potable and of good quality, but be mindful to conserve it by turning off the tap when not using water.
• Support the preservation of local dry-stone walls.
• Keep the gates closed to prevent the sheep from getting out.

If you see or smell smoke in a forest, immediately call 112!

2) SUPPORT THE LOCAL ECONOMY

• Buy local: support the small local businesses and producers by buying authentic products and souvenirs. LOŠINJ LOCAL PRODUCTS
