As part of the Carnival on Lošinj, which will be held this year from January 18 to March 4, 2025, the island will host the unique masked sea race, MareMonada!
On February 22 at 10 AM, brave participants will compete in their rowing and even swimming skills in the bay of Mali Lošinj. In this special sea race, accompanied by lively music, vessels of various shapes (up to four meters in length) that are not powered by motors will compete. These vessels, made from barrels, floats, inflatable mattresses, surfboards, sandolins, and other original masked floating objects, will race. The purpose of the event is not to reach the finish line first, but to have fun and showcase the creativity of the mask and the idea behind it.
